1974 Rinspeed 911 Slant Nose Coupe

The Rinspeed Garage was founded by Frank N. Rinderknecht in 1979. Over the years, the Swiss automobile manufacturer and tuning designer specialized in modifying and tuning modern cars and restoring classic cars. In 1979, Rinspeed introduced a modified Volkswagen Golf GTi with a turbocharger at the Geneva Auto Show. It had a custom grille and many other unique elements. A few years later, in 1981, they brought another Golf GTi called 'Aliporta' with gull-wing doors. They introduced the Porsche Rinspeed 939 Targa at the 1983 Geneva Auto Show and in 1985 the Rinspeed R69 Turbo, based on the Porsche 911 Turbo. They held contracts with A.C. Schnitzer, AMG, and other major tuners while building a successful name for themselves and gaining a reputation for their craftsmanship and unique, one-off creations.

This particular vehicle is a 1974 Porsche 911 with a Rinspeed Slant Nose Conversion, as well as custom Rinspeed bumper and body elements. It has a Rinspeed-tuned 2.7-liter flat six-cylinder engine, custom interior, and Rinspeed gauges. There are power windows, AM/FM stereo, 5-speed manual transmission, fog lights, and air conditioning.
