1969 Lamborghini Islero Coupe

The Lamborghini Islero GTS, wearing coachwork styled and built by Marazzi, combined the company's 4-liter V12 engine with a 5-speed transmission, 4-wheel disc brakes, and 4-wheel independent suspension. This particular example was ordered new by the official Swiss Lamborghini dealer in Zurich, Mr. Karl Foitek. It was the 54th of 100 Islero GTS model built.

Later in 1969 it was sold to another Swiss retail Lamborghini agent, Garage W. Ruf AG. It remained in Switzerland and in 1989 was purchased by Craig and Bunny Davis, who drove it sparingly for ten years. In 1998 they imported it to the United States and brought it to their home in Atherton, California. A short time later it was sold to Paul Forbes of Newport Beach. A brief time later it was sold to Ray Grimm, Jr. of Rancho Santa Fe, California, who commissioned a thorough cosmetic restoration which cost approximately $100,000.

In 2004 it entered the care of a collector from Mesa, Arizona before it was purchased by Boileff, who undertook a mechanical restoration in 2009 to the tune of nearly $50,000. It was then exported to a private Tokyo museum collection where it remained mostly un-driven. In 2014 it was purchased by a La Jolla, California dealer.

This Islero GTS is finished in Rosso Red paint with a wood-trimmed Tan leather interior and power windows.
