1958 Morris Minor Station Wagon

The Morris Minor remained in production for more than two decades. The car's designer, Alec Issigonis - the father of the Mini, had intended power to come from a horizontally opposed engine. Instead, an existing L-head unit from the Morris 8 was sourced.

The Morris Minor was revolutionary and came equipped with Rack-and-pinion steering and torsion bar independent front suspension. Body styles included a saloon, open tourer, and estate car, the latter, a wood side-trimmed car named the Traveller.

In 1954, the Morris Minor received its most significant change, when the Morris merger with Austin made the new 'A-series' overhead valve engine of the Austin A30 available. It had a smaller displacement but developed more power.

This particular Dark Green Traveller has restored woodwork. Its engine has been upgraded with the addition of dual carburetors. The interior is upholstered in black and brown cloth, with seating for two occupants in the front. The odometer currently shows 87,156 miles.
