1959 Gemini MK2 FJ Monoposto

This Gemini Mk. II Formula Junior car is believed to be the second of two originally delivered to Hugh Grammer of Fort Worth. Grammer's first car was purchased directly from the factory, but it was destroyed in shipped and he was provided another.

This car has a Weber 40DC03 carburetor and special manifold and is believed to be the only example known to have this Alfa Romeo carburetor. The 948cc BMC A-Series OHV inline four-cylinder engine produces around 85 horsepower and is mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Hydraulic drum brakes are found at all four corners.

It is currently in unrestored condition with its original build plates, a Landar aluminum valve cover, 'Banana-bunch' spoked wheels, finned brake drums, Triumph front uprights, Raydyot mirrors, unusual gearshift, and proprietary rear axle.
