The Formula Junior racing class served as a single-seat small displacement 'training class' for drivers to experience and train in open-wheel racing. The early Juniors had one-liter engines mounted in the front with braking controlled by drum brakes.

View info and historyThe Gemini MK2 was based on the Mooreland MK1 FJ designed by Len Terry and built by Les Redmond. Graham Warner (of the famous Chequered Flag Company) bought the company and renamed it after his birth sign. The first MK II raced at Brands Hatch in the fall of 1959. Future F1 World Drivers' Champion Jimmy Clark drove a Gemini Mk. II in the 1959 Goodwood Boxing Day F-Jr. race, his first open-wheel ride. Approximately 24 of the 30 MK2s built were exported to the United States.
