The Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider was launched at the 1962 Geneva Show. The coachbuilt Alfa wore Carrozzeria Touring coachwork and was powered by an all-alloy 2.6-liter three-carburetor engine mated to a five-speed gearbox. Production of the 2600 Spider would last until 1968.
This particular example has been given a recent restoration. Its current caretaker acquired the car in November of 2012 from Neal Berger of New Jersey. It wears new gray paint, new chrome, new soft top, and a fresh interior trimmed in Oxblood Red.
Power is from a 2584cc dual overhead cam inline 6-cylinder engine fitted with three Solex carburetors and offers 145 horsepower. There are front disc brakes, rear drums, and a five-speed manual gearbox.By Daniel Vaughan | May 2018
