1953 Hudson Wasp Navigation
This vehicle is a 1953 Hudson Wasp Super 6 Hollywood Hardtop finished in glossy red with a contrasting white hardtop roof. It was built in February 1953 and is equipped with the 262 CID L-head six-cylinder engine fitted with a Twin H-Power intake system with two Carter one-barrel carburetors. There is a Hydra-Matic Drive automatic transmission and four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes.
This car was purchased by Eldon Hostetler after his 1953 Hudson Wasp Sedan was totaled in a collision on June 10th, 1997. Mr. Hostetler found this car in Littleton, Colorado. At the time, it was missing its engine and right-front fender. A low-mileage engine and drivetrain were found and swapped to this Hollywood Hardtop. The missing fender was replaced, and a 'Twin H-Power' intake system was purchased at the AACA Hershey meet and installed.
This car has a steel sun visor, clock, heater, radio, and 'Startix' ignition.
