2006 Ferrari FXX Navigation
The Ferrari Enzo, name in honor of the automaker's founder, was fitted with an F1 electrohydraulic automated manual gearbox and a 65-degree V-12 engine offering 651 horsepower. It had a sophisticated chassis built in similar fashion to the company's F1 race cars with carbon-fiber bodywork, active aerodynamics, large carbon-ceramic brakes, and driver-adjustable shock absorbers.

Following the sophisticated Enzo came an even more ambition project, the FXX. It was designed to be an experimental prototype that would be offered to a small selection of Ferrari's most exclusive clientele. Power was from an engine which offered 789 horsepower at 8,500 RPM and 506 foot-pounds of torque. A new version of the F1 gearbox sent power to a sophisticated traction control system designed to manage the incredible power output. Zero-to-sixty mph took just 2.7 seconds and a revised brake-pad design worked with the Enzo's Brembo carbon-fiber-reinforced silicon-carbide-ceramic-composite disc brakes to produce braking from the 214 mph top speed.

29 cars were initially commissioned, though Ferrari presented a 30th to Michael Schumacher on his 2006 retirement from Formula 1. A small number of post-production units were built for favored clientele.

This particular FXX was built during the initial production run. It was acquired new by the Ming Collection at the Fiorano track and put into a special crate to be delivered directly to the collection. The car is painted Rosso Corsa with white striping and FXX branding at the rear.

This FXX does not have the Evoluzione kit and currently has just delivery mileage on the odometer. The car has tools, racing gear, and other items in the special FXX Programme rolling cases, as well as a set of original racing wheels mounted with Bridgestone Potenza slicks and a full complement of Puma gear.
