One of thirty 934s produced, chassis 0158 was delivered by Porsche competition to Erwin and Manfred Kremer financed by the privateer, Gerhard Holup. Holup raced the car extensively in national championship races but had an agreement with the Kremer Bros. which allowed Kremer to enter the car for other important World Championship races. Bob Wollek, Didier Pironi and Marie-Claude Beaumont drove the car for Kremer in the 1976 Le Mans 24 Hours & Reinhold Joest, Jurgen Barth, and Bob Wollek drove to a win in the 6 Hours of Dijon.
In 1977 0158 was sold to Dieter Schornstein who took part in all ten rounds for the German - DRM championship, with the sponsorship and livery of Sekurit. For 1978, Schornstein acquired a Porsche 935, selling the 0158 back to Gerhard Holup. Holup this time paired with Edgar Doren and together they took part in World Championship races with new sponsorship from Weralit and run by Max Moritz. For the 1978 Le Mans 24 Hours, the pair teamed up with Herve Poulain and Romain Feitler and 0158 was run by Kremer, with sponsorship from Jagermeister. Edgar Doren won enough points to win the DRM - German Racing Trophy for 1979.
In late 1979, the car was sold to Jack Refenning in Florida. Refenning entered the car into the IMSA GTO class in the 1980 Daytona 24 and the 12 Hours of Sebring. The following year, the car came 9th overall in its final race at the 1981 Daytona 24 Hours.
0158 then passed through a series of owners and once more to Refenning before being sold in 2004 to Manfred Freisinger who meticulously restored the car and had an F.I.A. Historic Technical Passport issued in 2011.
