1993 Toyota Supra Coupe

the Toyota Supra was initially based on the high-volume production model, the Celica. It was known as the Celica Supra and wore a similar appearance to the Celica but with a longer front end which housed the larger, inline 6-cylinder engine. Introduced in 1978 for the Japanese market, it was first sold abroad in 1979. It could be purchased with either an automatic or manual transmission and came standard with four-wheel disc brakes.

The original Celica Supra sold well enough that Toyota released a second generation in 1981 with a much more chiseled and aggressive appearance that set the tone for GT car designs through the decade. With its pop-up headlights and angular front end, it shed the conservative look of the first generation, but it maintained the front-engine, rear-drive, hatchback, four-seat platform that made the name popular.

In 1993, Toyota introduced a new version of the Supra stricks as a two-seater car, continuing to use the established front-engine, rear-drive hatchback formula, but the chassis, engine, transmission, steering geometry and more were so refined that it was quickly regarded as one of the world's best sports cars.

This particular 1993 Toyota Supra is a two-owner car that currently has 38,714 miles on the odometer. The car has been professionally modified and its 3.0-liter V6 engine is backed by a six-speed manual transmission. It was given a single turbo conversion kit that helps boost the engine output to 440 bhp. (The factory stock fourth-generation Supra twin-turbo produced 276 HP). Zero-to-sixty mph is accomplished in under four seconds and has a top speed of approximately 170 mph.
