1982 Aston Martin V8 Volante Convertible Coupe

This 1982 Aston Martin V8 Volante is powered by a 5,340cc DOHC, all-aluminum V8 engine fitted with four dual-throat Weber carburetors and delivers approximately 300 horsepower at 6,000 RPM. There is a three-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel disc brakes. There is a limited-slip differential, sport suspension, match painted alloy wheels, full leather interior, air conditioning, twin fuel fillers, power windows and mirrors, and burled walnut wood trim. With an original MSRP of $117,835 (USD), this was one of the most expensive drop-top models in the United States.

This Aston Martin was completed in March of 1982 with left-hand-drive steering and was destined for the U.S. market. It wore the non-standard color Dover White over a Natural leather interior with Brown piping, Tan Wilton wool carpeting and a matching Natural top. It was dispatched to Aston Martin Sales Inc. in New York, before making its way to the selling dealer Newport Imports in Newport Beach, California. The car's first owner was a lawyer named Louis Meisinger of California before being purchased by its current owner in September of 1989. Currently, it has 95,163 miles on the odometer.
