The BMW 600 was a small car produced from the summer of 1957 to November 1959. It was a four-seat car partially based on the popular BMW Isetta two-seater. It is powered by a flat twin engine derived from the BMW R67 motorcycle.
This car was manufactured in September 1958 but sold as a 1959 model year. It was purchased by the Seagrist family in Aurora, Illinois, in 1960 for $625. It remained in the family until the current owner purchased it in 2007. The family was very involved in the restoration process through photos and regular correspondence. Mary Seagrist passed away in 2014 at age 92.
