1932 Duesenberg Model J Navigation
This Duesenberg has been given a restoration using many of its original mechanical components. It is a long-wheelbase example that was originally clothed with a Willoughby Limousine body which has been lost to time. It is powered by engine J-467 which has its original bell-housing J-474 and original crankshaft 417.
The body currently on this Duesenberg is a recreation of a LaGrande 'sweep panel' dual-cowl phaeton. Much of the restoration work was performed by Byard Libbey's Classic Car Restoration Center in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts. The exterior is finished in triple-tone black, silver, and scarlet, and the interior features red leather upholstery.
The 420 cubic-inch straight-8 engine is paired with a modern six-speed Tremec manual transmission. In total, it is estimated that around $1,800,000 was spent on restoring this Duesenberg to its current configuration.By Daniel Vaughan | Nov 2023
