1966 Morgan Plus Four Navigation
The 1966 version of the Plus Four was still basically the same car as introduced in 1950. The powerplant was still a Triumph four-cylinder TR4, but as of 1964 upgraded to the larger displacement of 2,138cc resulting in an increase in power from 68 brake horsepower to 105 BHP.
The Morgan Plus Four was built in keeping with the traditional Morgan construction techniques using a steel body over a wooden frame all on top of a ladder frame with 'Z-Section' side members.
This example is finished in dark green with black fenders. It has been given a comprehensive cosmetic and mechanical restoration and still shows well in modern times. There is a four-speed manual transmission and hydraulically actuated front disc and rear drum brakes.
In 2009, this 1966 Morgan Plus Four was offered for sale at the Automobiles of Amelia Island auction presented by RM Auctions.
