The tire placard may have incorrect tire pressure information. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, 'Tire Selection and Rims.'
ConsequenceTires that are inflated to the incorrect pressure could lead to a loss of vehicle stability and control, increasing the risk of a crash.
