The Central Vision Park Assist module (CVPAM) software may prevent the rearview image from displaying when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, 'Rear Visibility.'
ConsequenceA rearview image that does not display while in reverse decreases the driver's visibility of the rear view, increasing the risk of injury or crash.
