For 1995, the Porsche 968 was available as a 2+2 Coupe or a Cabriolet. Power was from a 16-valve four-cylinder, water-cooled engine that displaced 182.5 cubic inches and offered nearly 240 horsepower. It had a six-speed manual or a four-speed automatic gearbox with disc brakes at all four corners. Zero-to-sixty was accomplished in just 6.8 seconds and had a base price of nearly $40,000.
CoupeBetween 1993 and 1995, Porsche offered a 'Clubsport' Version for the 968. It was a lightweight version aimed at enthusiasts seeking increased track performance. The car was devoid of non-essential items including no air conditioning, no soundproofing, no sunroof, and no electric windows. Airbags, heated washer jets, rear seat and rear wipers were also removed. It was given a revised track suspension, Recaro seats, 17-inch wheels, and a close-ratio 6-speed manual gearbox. The 3.0-liter engine produced 240 horsepower. The 'Sport' was a later, more refined edition fitted with more comfortable seats and electric windows. In all other respects, the 'Sport' was identical to the 'Clubsport' but without the graphics. The 'Sport' model was only supplied to the United Kingdom market.
