NISSAN PRODUCTION, SALES AND EXPORT RESULTS FOR JULY 2015
August 28, 2015 by NissanYOKOHAMA, Japan – Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced its production, sales and export figures for July 2015. 1. Production Nissan's global production in July increased 2.8% year-on-year to 376,088 units. Production in Japan increased 4.3% year-on-year to 82,668 units, mainly due to increased demand for the X-Trail. Production outside Japan increased 2.3% year-on-year to 293,420 units. In the U.S., production increased 7.7% year-on-year to 57,256 units, marking an all-time record for the month of July, mainly due to increased demand for the new Maxima and the Murano. In Mexico, production increased 1.4% year-on-year to 58,591 units, marking an all-time record for the month of July, mainly due to increased demand for the NP300 Frontier. In the U.K., production decreased 26.5% year-on-year to 25,864 units.

In Spain, production decreased 43.9% year-on-year to 8,440 units. In China, production increased 18.0% year-on-year to 80,344 units, mainly due to increased demand for the X-Trail and the Sylphy series. Production in other regions was up 9.6% year-on-year to 62,925 units, mainly due to an increase in production volume of the Rogue (X-Trail in Japan), which is produced in Korea for the North America market, and the NP300 Navara produced in Thailand. 2. Sales Global sales increased 4.0% year-on-year to 433,067 units, marking an all-time record for the month of July. Japan: ◾Sales including mini-vehicles declined 8.3% year-on-year to 51,075 units ◾Vehicle registrations decreased 1.5% year-on-year to 35,284 units ◾Mini-vehicle sales decreased 20.6% year-on-year to 15,791 units Sales outside of Japan increased 5.9% year-on-year to 381,992 units, marking an all-time record for the month of July. In the U.S., sales increased 7.8% year-on-year to 130,872 units, mainly due to higher demand for the Rogue and the Altima, marking an all-time record for the month of July. In Mexico, sales increased 21.7% year-on-year to 28,693 units, marking an all-time record for the month of July, mainly due to higher sales volume of the X-Trail and the new NP300 Frontier. In Europe, sales increased 5.8% year-on-year to 56,771 units, marking an all-time sales record for the month of July, mainly due to increased demand for the X-Trail and the Pulsar. In China, sales were down 13.9% year-on-year to 84,212 units. Sales in other regions decreased 3.4% year-on-year to 68,740 units. 3. Japan Exports Nissan's exports in July increased 10.6% year-on-year to 48,037 units, mainly due to increased demand for the X-Trail.
