The 1988 Lincoln Town Car received a new grille, new rear panel, and tail lamps. Power was from a 302 cubic-inch V8 engine rated at 150 horsepower. The Town Car sedan sold for $23,130 and Lincoln produced 201,113 examples in 1988. These figures included the Signature Series and the Cartier Designer Series.

Auction entries : 1The Town Car Signature and Cartier models added keyless illuminated entry, a conventional spare tire, wide bright lower body-side moldings, and six-speaker radio with cassette player and premium sound. Both models had a half coach roof with wrap-over molding and 'Frenched' style back windows.The Signature model had a two-color hood and body-side accent paint stripes and wire wheel covers. The Cartier models were given dual red hood and single red bodyside/decklid paint stripes, along with turbine-spoke aluminum wheels.
