1966 Plymouth Fury III

The Plymouth Fury was a full-size model for 1966 available as a 2- or 4-door sedan, 6- or 9-passenger station wagon, a hardtop coupe, hardtop sedan, or a convertible. It was available in several trim levels including the Fury I, Fury II, Fury III, and Sport Fury. A new offering was the VIP, which was based on the full-size sheet metal and available as either a 4-door hardtop sedan or a 2-door hardtop coupe. They had special side moldings, fender skirts, center armrest seats, woodgrain inserts, and interior roof pillar reading lamps. The base model was the Fury I and came equipped with a heater and defroster, seat belts in the front, and blackwall tires. The Fury II included all the body styles found on the Fury I (2- and 4-door sedan and 6-passenger station wagon) plus added a 9-passenger station wagon. The Fury II had front foam seats, Fury II nameplates, moldings along the upper feature line, and carpets.

The Fury III trim level had all the body styles of the Fury II, plus added a convertible. They were given Fury III nameplates, light package, electric clock, larger tires on convertibles, updated molding treatment, louver-style cowlside ornaments, and back-up lights.

The Sport Fury was available as a hardtop coupe or a convertible and included bucket seats, Deluxe Fury steering wheel, special finned wheel covers, fender skirts, and a console.
