The 1980 Honda Civic was restyled, resulting in a two-inch larger wheelbase and increased interior room. Power was supplied by either a 1.3-liter or 1.5-liter engine. Both had overhead-cams and a Keihin-Honda three-barrel carburetor. The 1.3 liter engine produced 55 horsepower while the 1.5-liter version produced nearly 70 horsepower. Both engines were backed by manual gearboxes.The two-door hatchback sedan was joined a year later by a station wagon.
