JAGUAR F-TYPE CONVERTIBLE WINS AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE 2014 ‘ALL-STAR' AWARD

(MAHWAH, N.J.) - April 8, 2014- Jaguar is proud to announce that the F-TYPE Convertible is an AutomobileMagazine 2014 'All-Star' for its part in redefining and modernizing the brand. This marks the third year a Jaguar vehicle has received the honor.
'The F-TYPE Convertible, Jaguar's modern take on its iconic, 1960s E-Type, captivated us with its svelte body, its available supercharged V8 engine, and its exhaust note that sounds like machine-gun fire,' said Jean Jennings, President and Editor-In-Chief, AutomobileMagazine. With its extravagant styling, the F-TYPE attracts the attention of people everywhere it goes and has done more than any other Jaguar car or 'vehicle' to make the brand relevant and desirable again.'

For 2014, about 270 automobiles for sale in the United States were eligible for the award. The prestigious All-Stars awards recognize 10 vehicles chosen by the editorial staff of AutomobileMagazine.
The Jaguar F-TYPE Convertible was launched to critical acclaim in 2012 and represents a return to the company's heart: a two-seat, sports car focused on performance, agility and driver involvement. The F-TYPE Convertible and Coupe are powered by the new Jaguar supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine in 340hp and 380hp outputs and a 495hp 5.0-liter supercharged V8. The F-TYPE Coupe debuted at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show this past November, will go on sale this spring and is available in three models: F-TYPE Coupe, F-TYPE S Coupe and F-TYPE R Coupe. MSRP starts at $69,000* for the Convertible, and $65,000* for the Coupe.
An official awards presentation will take place at the 2014 New York International Auto Show on Wednesday, April 16, 2014.
