KIA MOTORS AMERICA ANNOUNCES RECORD AUGUST SALES

IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 3, 2014 – Kia Motors America (KMA) today announced record August sales of 54,667 units, a 5.1-percent increase over the same period last year. Kia's year-to-date sales are up 6.9 percent, and the brand's aggressive new product cadence continues this quarter with the scheduled launches of the all-new Sedona and Soul EV. As part of the rollout of Kia's first all-electric, zero-emissions vehicle in the U.S., the latest installment of the award-winning advertising campaign featuring the brand's music-loving hamsters is now airing. 'With one of the freshest lineups in the industry, more and more customers are discovering the world-class quality, styling and technology Kia offers in every segment, from subcompact to luxury,' said Michael Sprague, executive vice president of sales and marketing, KMA.
