Bristol Water PLC Strikes New Supplier Deal With Peugeot•New PEUGEOT car and van fleet for Bristol Water

•New Expert vans and 308 cars included in the new supply deal

•New four-year agreement to supply vehicles

Bristol Water has taken delivery of a fleet of PEUGEOT vans and cars, the first to be supplied under a new four-year agreement between the two companies. The relationship between PEUGEOT and Bristol Water first began in the 1980s with the supply of LCV models, which over the years expanded to include cars.

The latest agreement sees the company take delivery of 18 multi-award winning New Expert vans, mostly in 'Professional' trim and 'Standard' length, powered by the latest BlueHDi 95hp 1.6-litre diesel engine, which meets the stringent Euro-6 emissions criteria.

New Expert Professional standard equipment includes the Moduwork folding passenger bench seat with load-through bulkhead and under-seat storage space, as well as air conditioning, electrically adjustable heated door mirrors and rear parking sensors. Safety and security equipment includes a vehicle anti-theft alarm, remote central locking with deadlocks and separate locking for the cab and load area. Drivers benefit from a DAB digital radio with 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth connectivity and Mirror Link for smartphone connectivity as well as a USB socket, audio jack and 12 volt sockets. New Expert standard equipment also includes twin sliding side loading doors, a full height steel bulkhead, cruise control and driver adjustable speed limiter. The Bristol Water New Experts will be equipped with satellite navigation to help drivers find their way and keep fuel consumption to a minimum.

The Bristol Water deal also includes 11 cars from the 308 range. The New Expert vans have been fitted out for their working role by Bristol-based body builder and vehicle converter TGS. All vehicles have been supplied through local franchised Dealer, Robins and Day PEUGEOT Bristol.

Csaba Ujvari, Fleet Manager for Bristol Water, said, 'A tender went out to all manufacturers and was won by PEUGEOT for both car and vans for four years. This latest deal builds on the relationship we have established with PEUGEOT over many years.'

Speaking about the new deal, Martin Gurney, Director of Fleet at PSA Group UK said, 'Maintaining and further developing our relationship with Bristol Water by winning this vehicle supplier deal is an important step for PEUGEOT. The company is among the first to be supplied with a fleet of New Expert vans, launched at the CV Show last year.'
