ALL-NEW MAZDA CX-9 MAKES LIST OF NORTH AMERICAN SUV OF THE YEAR FINALISTS
As dynamically poised as it is opulently appointed, the 2016 Mazda CX-9 has won praise among automotive journalists, being named to the shortlist for the North American Utility Vehicle of the Year Award today at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Jurors will vote on the shortlist nominees in December, with the winners in SUV, car and truck categories announced at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan, on January 9, 2017.
The all-new 2016 Mazda CX-9 went on sale earlier this year, more luxurious and sophisticated than the model it replaced. Featuring the newly turbocharged SKYACTIV-G 2.5T engine that produces a prodigious 310 lb-ft of torque from just 2,000 rpm, the CX-9 also stands out with its class-leading fuel economy and surefooted handling, thanks to its available predictive i-ACTIV all-wheel drive.
