1934 Dodge Series KC Navigation
The Dodge Brothers introduced its all-new truck line in 1933 that consisted of Standard and Heavy-Duty lines. The Heavy-Duty line was equipped exclusively with six-cylinder power while the Standard models could be equipped with either four- or six-cylinder engines. The styling was similar to the passenger car line and was consequently called the 'Glamour Series.'

They were hand-built to individual customer orders on a passenger car chassis by the U.S. Body and Forging Company's factory in Tell City, Indiana. The U.S. Body and Forging bodies were utilitarian while the coachwork by J.T. Cantrell & Company of Huntington Station, New York was of higher craftsmanship and quality, and used a different wood pattern than the factory Westchester Suburban. Both used roll-up windows throughout, including the rear quarter windows.Dodge bounced back from the poor sales of the previous years to regain third place in truck sales. The entire truck industry experienced an impressive recovery, gaining over 36 percent in registrations. The Dodge trucks experienced a sales increase of over 300 percent, finding favor with the buying public with their attractive styling, numerous standard features, and greatly expanded lineup. Among the standard features were a cowl vent, a Black enameled radiator shell with chromed filler cap, a spare tire, crowned front fenders with running boards, electric horn, tail brake light, full gauges, dash light, a locking ignition switch, license plate brackets, and a tool kit.
