Outstanding 1955 Lancia Aurelia B24S Spider America to headline Worldwide's inaugural Scottsdale Auction on Wednesday January 18Auburn, IN. January 9, 2016. A strikingly elegant 1955 Lancia Aurelia B24S Spider America is slated to headline Worldwide's inaugural Scottsdale Auction on Wednesday, January 18. One of only 181 left-hand drive examples produced and verified numbers matching, the Lancia will go under the hammer with an estimate of $1.2 to $1.4 million. Offered fully accessorized with factory hard top and desirable wire wheels, 'this outstanding automobile is eligible for touring events worldwide, including the legendary Mille Miglia,' said Rod Egan, Principal and Chief Auctioneer. 'This is an impeccably documented motorcar with Registro Lancia Storico, Automobile Club d'Italia, and Registro Aurelia production record and long-term documented ownership. It is very rare to come across such a genuine Lancia, therefore we expect worldwide interest in this particular example.'

The Lancia will be in illustrious company. Lining up alongside it is an world-class array of pre-war, sports, muscle and supercars, as well fifties classics and a couple of outstanding farm and barn finds. Included in the sale are a stunning 1979 BM1 M1, ordered by and owned new by Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani of Qatar with Procar style bodywork undertaken for the Sheikh in Germany, a 1952 Jaguar XK120 Fixed Head Coupe once owned by the 'first lady of drag racing' herself, Shirley Muldowney, a 1995 Bugatti EB110, one of only 139 produced, a two time Pebble Beach award winning 1933 Packard 1004 Coupe Roadster and a 1965 Shelby GT350 Fastback, documented in the SAAC Shelby American World Registry. World-class Corvettes slated for the sale include an award winning 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 'Tanker' 'Split-Window' Coupe and a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette L88 Roadster, 1 of only 20 RPO L88 Corvettes in all, 'race-bred, extremely rare, expertly restored and simply put, one of the finest and most significant L-88 Corvettes in existence today,' said John Kruse, Principal of Worldwide Auctioneers.

The Scottsdale Auction is scheduled for Wednesday January 18 at 5pm, with VIP & Bidder Reception from 3-5pm. Consignments can be previewed daily onsite at 6460 E.
