2012 Dallara IndyCar Series Concepts Navigation
In 2010, an announcement was made that the new chassis manufacturer for the 2012 Indycar Series was to be Dallara. Two concepts have been introduced, both riding on the same chassis with different designs. The designs examine different aerodynamic designs and both are full of ingenuity and engineering. The designs examine performance and safety while trying to keep costs as low as possible.Dan Wheldon, winner of both the Indianapolis 500 and the Indycar Series title in 2005, has been chosen to test the new chassis. Wheldon was also the 2011 Indy500 winner.
