The BMW 6-Series coupe made its debut in 1976 and brought with it some components destined for the yet-to-be-announced 7-Series. I was mechanically similar to the 5-series saloons and styled by Karmann like the preceding 3.0CS/CSi. Power was from a 196 cubic-inch engine and fitted with four-wheel disc brakes. Zero-to-sixty was in the mid-seven second range with top speed of achieved at 134 mph.

For the US market, the 633CSi was not officially imported until the 1978 model year.

This 633CSi example has been given a restoration in 2006 and has covered just 68,600 kilometers.

In 2012, the car was offered for sale at the Bonhams Monaco sale. As bidding came to a close, the car had been sold for €6,325 including buyer's premium.
