1976 Cadillac Fleetwood Seventy-Five

1976 was the final year for the large Fleetwood nine-passenger sedan and limousine. The wheelbase measured 151.5 inches and had a length of 21 feet. The body style first made its appearance a few years earlier in 1971.

For 1976, the Fleetwood 75 was given a new grille pattern and updated cornering lamps with horizontal chrome trim. The 9-passenger sedan sold for just under $15,000 while the limousine was priced at $15,200. There were a total of 981 sedans and 834 limousines. An additional 1,509 commercial chassis was created.

These large Fleetwood models had two separate automatic climate control systems. Passengers could operate the control panel to raise and lower windows, turn on reading lamps, operated the radio, or (in the limousine) raise and lower the center partition. Standard Cadillacs had two cigarette lighters while the larger Fleetwood Seventy-Five models had four cigarette lighters.

Power was from a 500 cubic-inch V8 engine rated at 190 horsepower. Electronic fuel injection was optional and so was the cross-grain padded vinyl roof.
