New Holden Cruze will offer buyers the best ever value from a locally built small car when it goes on sale next month, with added features and better performance thanks to the introduction of a new 132kW 1.6 litre turbo engine and locally developed sports suspension for SRi and SRi-V sports models.




A realigned model line-up sees the Equipe replace the entry level CD, adding front foglamps, sports grille, 17' alloy wheels and rear park assist as standard features to the most affordable Cruze model.

CDX gains additional premium features including keyless entry with push button start and a reverse camera. A reverse camera is also added to the range-topping SRi-V while the SRi sport model receives rear park assist as standard.
Holden Cruze becomes the first locally built car to go on sale with Holden MyLink, a new premium infotainment system.



The new 1.6 litre turbo engine, now standard in both SRi and SRi-V sport models, replaces the 1.4 litre turbo engine which remains an option on the Equipe. A new Australian calibrated second generation automatic transmission with Active Select replaces the outgoing automatic transmission across petrol models, promising improved drive quality.

RANGE OVERVIEW
SRi/ SRi-V
The updated Holden Cruze SRi and SRi-V now feature the new 1.6 litre turbo engine with six-speed manual transmission. (posted on conceptcarz.com) They are also available with an optional second generation six-speed automatic transmission with sport mode, which delivers an improved drive experience, with better shift quality, shorter shift times and more intuitive performance.

Available in both four-door sedan and five-door hatchback, both models feature exterior sports front and rear fascias, rockers and spoiler. The sports theme continues in the interior with leather wrap steering wheel and shifter with the SRi-V adding a new high quality metal appearance console.

The range-topping SRi-V features 18' alloy wheels and the SRi now features a 17' alloy wheel and both models are now fitted with Bridgestone tyres. Each also features a new sports suspension and damper tune, which have been locally developed by Holden engineers.

SRi-V features leather-appointed seat trim and heated front seats, keyless entry and start, electronic climate control and new reverse camera.

CDX
The Cruze CDX is offered in sedan bodystyle only with a 1.8 litre four-cylinder petrol engine or 2.0 litre four-cylinder diesel engine, each matched with a new second generation six-speed automatic transmission with Active Select.
New CDX adds a reverse camera and keyless entry and start as standard. It also features new interior treatments including a high quality metal appearance console with chrome top controls, in addition to front heated, leather appointed seats which ensure CDX offers buyers true luxury.

A new, locally-calibrated comfort suspension tune enhances the ride of the Cruze CDX which rides on 17' alloy wheels.

Equipe
Holden has strengthened the Cruze line up with the addition of the Equipe entry level model which replaces the outgoing CD model. Equipe is available in both four-door sedan and five- door hatchback bodystyles.

Cruze Equipe is offered with a 1.8 litre four-cylinder petrol engine with five-speed manual transmission as standard.

Two additional powertrain combinations are offered as options – a 1.4 litre four-cylinder iTi petrol engine or a 2.0 litre four-cylinder diesel engine, each mated with the new second generation, locally calibrated six-speed auto transmission with Active Select.

As with the Cruze CDX, Cruze Equipe features the new locally-calibrated comfort suspension tune and gains 17' alloy wheels.

To enhance fuel consumption and improve the drive experience, the 1.4 litre and 1.6 litre engines include electric power steering. Additionally, the 1.4 litre engine incorporates an innovative regenerative charge system that increases the load on the alternator on deceleration, to charge the battery and reduce real world fuel consumption.

Holden Cruze Equipe adds stylish upgrades which ensure that even the most affordable Cruze features front fog lamps and alloy wheels as standard. A new colour range is offered and Rear Park Assist is added as a standard feature across the range.
