The G-POWER M3 GT2 R is probably the hottest road-legal BMW M3 in the world. It combines 720 supercharged horsepower with a kerb weight of less than 1.500 kg, all wrapped up in an awesome body kit featuring the current GT2 R design. This mix of increased power output and weight reduction is turning the BMW GT2 R into a true Clubsport version of the BMW M3.

The G-POWER M3 GT2 R is a true Clubsport version of the BMW M3 that distinguishes itself by a serious increase in power output and a significant weight reduction, but also with a modified aerodynamic that provides for a maximum of down force. Prepared like this the G-POWER M3 GT2 R is the perfect match for the occasional track day racer, who enjoys the luxury of arriving to the race track on its own wheels without having to accept compromises in regards of performance on the track. Thus the bullet points for the GT2 R project have been set: more than 700 hp power output and less than 1.500 kg kerp weight.

The G-POWER GT2 R package therefore covers the mighty SK III 'Sporty Drive' supercharger system. As demonstrated in G-POWER's supercharger systems for the legendary BMW V10, the full potential of high-revving BMW engines and G-POWER superchargers can only be achieved through significant modification of the base engine. Fortunately, the V8 in the current BMW M3 (E9x) is essentially a „shortened' version of the BMW V10 engine that G-POWER modified to create its world-record setting, 800hp G-POWER M5 HÚRRICANE RR. Thus G-POWER is able to leverage the proven forged pistons from that engine and developed through G-POWER's technology partner MAHLE. These pistons are produced exclusively for G-POWER. The connecting rods also received a birth-by-fire in the engine bays of the countless G-POWER SK III supercharger systems delivered worldwide in BMW M5s and M6s. However, the SK III „Sporty Drive' supercharger system for the M3 differs from the M5/M6 Supercharger System with an additional highlight in the engine bay. Inspired by the BMW M3 GTS the G-POWER M3 SK III 'sporty Drive' Supercharger System includes a modified crankshaft. This new crankshaft increases the displacement of SK III-equipped M3s by approx. 15%, from 4.0L to 4.6L.

The resulting modified V8 then meets the latest evolution of the world's best-known components of G-POWER M3 „Sporty Drive' supercharger systems. At its heart is the flagship of the ASA Centrifugal Supercharger product line – the powerful ASA T1-724. A maximum pressure of 0.7 bar can now be achieved and feeds air to the BMW V8's individual throttle butterflies through the use of the G-POWER airbox. A tailor-made cooling system for the SK III Supercharger System increases the capacity of the oil and water cooling circuits just like the intercooler system of the V8 engine to keep temperatures in check. A titanium exhaust system made specifically for G-POWER ensures that exhaust gases are discharged quickly and with minimum back pressure. This system features free-flowing 100 cpsi metallic catalytic converters.

Already the engine modifications from G-POWER are enough to set the G-POWER Clubsport variant apart from the production standard. A never-ending supply of torque is the name of the game once the forced induction M3 engine stretches its legs out of the mid rev range to storm all the way to the limiter as if fired from a catapult.

At the same time, G-POWER also gets to work on the flab, placing the BMW M3 on a strict weight loss regime. This is where the G-POWER GT2 R comes into its own, with a full carbon body kit bearing the current GT2 R design. The front skirt, all four wings and the rear skirt are all replaced by ultra-lightweight carbon elements. A carbon front lip and the multi-part carbon rear spoiler also improve aerodynamic down force.

The carbon fiber G-POWER hood also contributes to reduced weight. The starting point for the development of the G-POWER hood was the technical necessity to remove heat from the engine compartment of the uprated engines as quickly as possible. Otherwise a loss of performance can happen, since the ECÚ (electronic control unite) makes use of diagrams with reduced degrees of ignition when a fixed temperature limit is reached, in order to safeguard the engine. The 'DYNAMIC VENTING' Technology of the G-POWER hood vents the engine compartment dynamically, allowing the otherwise untapped performance potential to be achieved with no additional thermal stress. Performance enhancement cannot be supported more efficiently.

When it comes to suspension systems, the G-POWER M3 GT2 R is fitted with the G-POWER CLÚBSPORT coil-over suspension and weight-optimized 20-inch G-POWER SILVERSTONE RS forged wheels. The tires are Michelin Pilot Cup tires in the dimension 245/30 ZR 20 on the front axle and 315/25 ZR 20 for the rear axle to keep the vehicle in contact with the road. Braking is done with the G-POWER-ceramic brakes on the front and rear axle, which provide low-weight and reliable high-performance braking. „Fade' is therefore a foreign word for the 6-piston brake calipers in front which bite on 396 mm rotors and the 4-piston calipers at the rear axle which clamp on 380 mm rotors.

On the inside of the vehicle, G-POWER has swapped the series production front seats for carbon racing buckets that not only support the driver in his battle with centrifugal forces, but are also each 12 kg lighter than their standard counterparts. Just like that, another 24 kg disappear. The G-POWER M3 GT2 S also goes without its rear bench, while the interior is upgraded with an individual G-POWER leather trim package. Leather and Alcantara applications in G-POWER orange with blue stitching give the sporty and spartan interior a touch of class and a luxurious feel. The G-POWER SK III supercharger system including engine modification and displacement to 4.6L and complete exhaust system made of Titanium, is available for € 41,650.00 (net) plus installation at G-POWER in Autenzell. The G-POWER GT2 R body kit made from Carbon fibre is € 30.000,00 (net), the G-POWER Carbon bonnet for the BMW M3 costs € 3,600.00 (net) plus installation and the G-POWER SILVERSTONE RS complete wheel set including MICHELIN tyres is € 12,000.00 (net). The G-POWER Ceramic braking system for the front axle is € 14.460,50 (net) respectively € 11.778,00 (net) for the rear axle.
