1991 Toyota MR2 Navigation
The MR2 evolved from a prototype code named SV-3 and made its debut in Japan in mid-1984 and arrived in the United States in February of 1985. It had a short 91.3 inch wheelbase and was powered by a four-cylinder engine. The transverse-mounted twin-cam engine and transaxle was sourced from the front-drive Corolla Sport, but in the MR2 - it was installed behind the seats. Standard equipment included an AM/FM stereo radio, tilt steering, and power mirrors. Other available options included leather upholstery, air conditioning, and power windows. Beginning in 1986, an aero body kit with decklid spoiler and rocker-panel skirting became available. The following year a T-Top model with removable glass roof panels became available. The second generation of the Toyota MR2 featured a modern, curved design with a mid-engine layout. The four-cylinder dual-overhead cam engine displaced 134 cubic-inches and offered 130 horsepower. With the help of a turbocharger, power rose to 200 BHP.
