1999 Pontiac Grand Prix

Pontiac produced 155,317 examples of the Grand Prix in 1999. The base engine was a 231 cubic-inch V6 offering 160 horsepower. An optional 3.8-liter V6 was available offering 200 horsepower. The base SE model came as a sedan while the GT and GTP models were available as a coupe or sedan. Pricing began at $19,970 for the SE model and rose to $26,400 for the 4-door GTP sedan. New for this year was the 'Wide-Track' feature which included an Enhanced Traction System for SE and GT models. The theft-deterrent system was now included with remote keyless entry.

The GTP model had previously been an option; it was now its own separate series.

GT models came with cruise control, dual exhausts, a Delco 2001 series ETR AM/FM stereo radio, a leather-wrapped sport steering wheel, and five-spoke cast-aluminum wheels. SE models had air conditioning, dual front airbags, acoustic insulation, power disc brakes with antilock, GM Computer Command Control, a Driver Information Center, a Delco ETR AM/FM stereo radio, front sport bucket seats with Doral cloth interior fabric, and 15-inch sport-style bolt-on wheel covers.
