Isuzu Supports Cash For Kids Mission Christmas

December 20, 2017 by Isuzu

Isuzu UK has teamed up with Free Radio's Cash For Kids this Christmas to help raise money for children living in poverty around the West Midlands.

Mission Christmas aims to make sure that every underprivileged child in the local area has a present to open at this special time of year. Contributing to the cause, Isuzu supplied 2 of it's award winning D-Max pick up trucks as stand in sleighs, allowing the charity to drop off collection boxes and help deliver presents once they had been donated.

The spacious load bed and over 1 tonne payload made the new D-Max a perfect vehicle to transport the hundreds of gifts across the region, including drop offs in Birmingham, Coventry and further afoot.

Cash For Kids Charity Fundraising Executive Tom Reeves said: 'Isuzu's involvement in Mission Christmas was key. As a charity we rely heavily on the kindness of local people and local businesses and Isuzu were keen to help where they could.

'Allowing us to use their new generation D-Max trucks meant we could drop off collection boxes and collect much needed toys to give to the one in four children around the West Midlands living in poverty this Christmas. We're very thankful!'

William Brown, Isuzu UK Managing Director, commented: 'We were extremely keen to get involved with such a fantastic local charity and support them in any way possible. We particularly enjoyed hosting our very own Christmas jumper day to support the cause with further funds too. The staff at head office are proud to support such a great cause.

'On behalf of Isuzu UK I would like to thank everyone who helped make this such a big success and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.'
