2016 Porsche Panamera Navigation

Like all Porsche models, the Panamera is both dynamic and functional. In 2009, Porsche introduced the Panamera with three variants. There are now thirteen variants of the best handling and most usable sedans in the market. For 2015, the Porsche Panamera sports sedan lineup includes the Panamera and its all-wheel-drive twin the Panamera 4, the twin turbo-charged Panamera S and its all-wheel-drive variant the Panamera 4S, the Panamera S E-Hybrid, the first plug-in hybrid sports-sedan, the naturally-aspirated Panamera GTS, the twin-turbocharged V8 Panamera Turbo and the more powerful Panamera Turbo S. For more rear leg-room, three Executive versions are available: the Panamera 4S Executive, Panamera Turbo Executive and Panamera Turbo S Executive. These models feature an extended wheelbase and generous standard features package. The Panamera and Panamera 4 feature Porsche's torquey and fuel-efficient 3.6-liter V6, while the Panamera S, 4S and 4S Executive models feature a new 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine. Regardless of engine choice, all gasoline-powered Panamera engines are mated to Porsche's tried and true PDK dual-clutch seven-speed gearbox. The Panamera S E-hybrid combines a 3.0-liter supercharged V6 engine with an electric motor and is capable of accelerating from a standstill to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds on its way to a top track speed of 167 mph.For the purest Porsche experience, the Panamera GTS, with its 4.8-liter V8 engine is hard to beat for the ultimate sport-sedan experience. On the other side, the Panamera Turbo and Panamera Turbo S, increase torque and power while simultaneously improving civility. The Panamera 4S Executive, Panamera Turbo Executive and Panamera Turbo S Executive models are equipped with Adaptive air-suspension featuring Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which combines superior performance and enhanced ride comfort. This allows the benefit of 5.9 extra inches of rear leg-room, without sacrificing any of Porsche's trademark sports-car feel and performance.Performance

Direct Fuel Injection (DFI)
With millisecond precision, DFI injects fuel at up to 1,740 psi directly into the combustion chamber by means of electromagnetically actuated injection valves. DFI also improves the internal cooling of the combustion chamber by having the mixture prepared directly in the cylinder. The higher compression ratio helps to deliver more output at the same time as enhanced engine efficiency.Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK)
Offering both a manual gearshift and an automatic mode, 7-speed PDK promises to deliver sports performance with efficiency and comfort as well as rapid gear changes with no discernible interruption in the flow of power.PDK is essentially two gearboxes in one. The double clutch provides an alternating, friction-locked connection between these two half gearboxes and the engine. Gears 1 to 6 have a sports ratio and top speed is reached in 6th gear. The 7th gear has a long ratio, which helps to keep the engine revs low, even at high speeds. Depending on the gearshift program (SPORT button activated or deactivated), the gear change is optimized for comfort or sporty driving. We've made the PDK even sportier for the Panamera GTS and the Panamera Turbo models. The PDK in SPORT PLÚS mode is designed for maximum performance: The gear changes are extremely fast, the maximum propulsion force potential is used to achieve optimum acceleration.VarioCam Plus
VarioCam Plus is a two-in-one engine concept for adjusting the intake and exhaust camshafts and switching the lift of the intake valves. The system differentiates between driver inputs that typify normal, everyday driving and those inputs that demand maximum power.Valve operation is then adapted automatically to prevailing conditions. This results in instant acceleration and extremely smooth running as well as extraordinary acceleration power with comparatively low fuel consumption.Auto start/stop function

The Auto Start Stop Function still works in the familiar way. As soon as you come to a halt and keep your foot on the brake pedal, the system will automatically stop the engine. This fuel-saving system restarts the engine the moment you release the brakes.

Standard features of the new Panamera and the new Panamera 4 include Bi-Xenon(TM) headlights, 18-inch Panamera wheels, the two single-tube tailpipes of the exhaust system and the automatic rear hatch. Both models are also equipped as standard with the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK). In the new Panamera, it transfers engine power to the rear axle; in the new Panamera 4, to all four wheels via the active all-wheel drive of Porsche Traction Management (PTM.)The steel spring suspension is fitted as standard and offers a high level of comfort coupled with a sporty setup. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), an electronic damping control system and the adaptive air suspension are available as an option. The interior boasts high-quality materials, and the standard leather package is available in a choice of three colors. The rim of the multifunction steering wheel fitted as standard and the PDK gear selector are finished in smooth-finish leather, the interior trims in high gloss black.Other standard features of the new Panamera and the new Panamera 4 apart from the multifunction steering wheel are cruise control, automatic climate control and the CDR audio system. Options include Porsche Communication Management (PCM) and the BOSE® Surround Sound System or Burmester® High-End Surround Sound System.A comprehensive range of personalization options is available to you. These include, for example, a selection of two-tone finishes and other color and material combinations.Source - Porsche
