1994 Acura Integra

Mazda introduced their third generation RX-7 in the spring of 1993, the third generation of the Honda Civic was introduced in 1994, and the re-designed Integra was introduced in 1990. The import sports car scene was certainly heating up. The Integra GS-R was certainly an enticing option, with its motorcycle racing-derived technology. The VTEC (Variable Timing Electronic Control) technology helped the 110 CID engine produce 170 horsepower.

The Integra was available as a three-door hatchback, or four-door sports sedan in three trim levels consisting of the RS, LS, and GS. Pricing ranged from $14,675 for the RS Hatchback Coupe and rose to nearly $20,000 for the GS-R Sedan.

ABS brakes became standard equipment on the GS-R. A five-speed manual or four-speed automatic was available on all trim levels except the GS-R, which was limited to a five-speed manual only.
