Detroit-based Ford Motor Company has a history in foreign markets that is nearly as old as its involvement in the domestic market. By 1911, the production of Model As was underway in Manchester, England, followed by many other models. In 1951, the company introduced two model designs for the British market, including a four-cylinder Consul and a six-cylinder Zephyr. In 1954, they were joined by the higher-powered Zodiac.

For 1960, the Anglia, Prefect, Escort, and Consul models were powered by four-cylinder engines. The Zodiacs had the more powerful six-cylinder, such as this particular example. It appears to have been restored several years ago and is finished in two-tone white and maroon. Features include a Smith's Fresh Air Heater, adjustable door armrests, and automatic transmission.

The overhead-valve six-cylinder engine produces 86 horsepower and is backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. The wheelbase measures 107 inches and there are four-wheel drum brakes.
