The 1913 Studebaker line was noted for being exceptionally rugged and reliable. The Model 25 Touring Sedan was powered by a four-cylinder engine and featured a rear-mounted transaxle, a featured Studebaker would use until 1918. The engine displaced 192 cubic inches and offered 25 horsepower. The engine was mated to a selective sliding transmission with three gears. Full elliptic rear springs were standard.

Two body styles were available on the Model 25, the roadster and a 4-passenger tourer. The Model 25 was the only model not to be outfitted with an electric starter and lighting.
