1913 was the first year the Studebaker automobile only carried the Studebaker name. The 1913 Studebaker line was noted for being exceptionally rugged and reliable. The Model 25 Touring Sedan was powered by a four-cylinder engine and featured a rear-mounted transaxle, a featured Studebaker would use until 1918. The engine displaced 192 cubic inches and offered 25 horsepower. The engine was mated to a selective sliding transmission with three gears. Full elliptic rear springs were standard.Two body styles were available on the Model 25, the roadster and a 4-passenger tourer. The Model 25 was the only model not to be outfitted with an electric starter and lighting.
