Mercedes-Benz Celebrates Multiple Victories At 2018 Auto Express Awards
Mercedes-Benz has won a pair of awards at the 2018 Auto Express awards. The newly revised C-Class was named 'Best Compact Executive Car of the Year', while the flagship S-Class was named 'Best Luxury Car of the Year'.
Steve Fowler, editor-in-chief, Auto Express, commented: 'For a compact exec to succeed, it must blend a decent turn of performance, efficiency, refinement and practicality, all wrapped up in a prestigious package. Thanks to a number of recent updates, the latest C-Class serves up all of these things, making it the most compelling choice in the market.'
Steve added: 'Following a facelift last year that only improved the breed, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class scoops our Luxury Car of the Year title yet again. Imperious ride quality, even more advanced tech, genuine luxury and relaxing comfort mean this is still the finest car in this class.'
At the same event, EVO magazine celebrated its 20th anniversary. To mark the occasion, the magazine chose Tobias Moers – Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH – as its 'Best Person of the past 20 years'.
