Just a year on from the presentation of its future-focused NEXT 100 vision vehicles, the BMW Group is introducing the electric mobility of the much more immediate future at the IAA Cars 2017 show in Frankfurt in the shape of a four-door Gran Coupe. The BMW i Vision Dynamics combines its elegantly sporty design with an all-electric drive system enabling a range of 600 kilometres (373 miles), acceleration of 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.0 seconds and a top speed of over 200 km/h (124 mph). 'With the BMW i Vision Dynamics we are showcasing how we envisage future electric mobility between the BMW i3 and BMW i8: a dynamic and progressive, four- door Gran Coupe. We are therefore electrifying the heart of the BMW brand and, at the same time, elevating BMW i into a totally new dimension,' explains Harald Krüger, Chairman of the Board of Management at BMW AG.
The BMW i Vision Dynamics is the latest fruit of the BMW Group's rigorously applied electric mobility strategy. Armed with the technological expertise of BMW i and a renowned premium carmaker's experience and understanding of quality, the BMW Group raises the bar in sustainable personal mobility. The company has already launched more electrified vehicles than any established competitor. By 2025 the BMW Group will have 25 models with electrified drive systems in its line-up. 12 of these will be pure electric and therefore produce zero local emissions.Source - BMW
