1957 LaDawri Sebring

Leslie Albert Dawes of British Columbia, Canada, founded LaDawri Coachcraft in the mid-1950s. The name was from a combination of L.A. Dawes and his friend Don Wright. In 1957, the company moved to the United States, where it continued to build fiberglass sports cars and bodies. The bodies were versatile, built as a complete car or as a kit, and could accommodate wheelbase sizes from 76 to 120 inches.

Production of the LaDawri continued from 1955 through 1963, when a fire in the factory destroyed all the models.

The company's first car was called the LaDawri Conquest. The Conquest was featured on the cover of the July 1957 Road & Track magazine. Their next full-sized sports car was called the Daytona.

The Daytona and Sebring models were introduced in the late 1950s. The Sebring was similar to the Conquest and Quest models but was smaller and had a single grille opening. The Sebring was the least produced of all the LaDawri models.
