1940 Willys Gasser

1940 Willys Gasser 1940 Willys Gasser 1940 Willys Gasser Built in the early 1960s by Nelson Stoltz & Ray Valesquez, this Candy Apple Red race car was a solid contender for the AA/GS wars when it debuted. It faced stiff competition wherever it went, and they were always a highly respected team.

This Willys competed at Indy for years until 1967 when the cost to keep it up to date became a financial burden. It was then sold in 1968.

When the current owner repurchased it in 1995 sans engine, it still retained its original chassis. Various original 392 Chrysler Hemi engine parts were secured and a stroked 468 cubic-inch engine brought the Stoltz & Valesquez 40' Willys back to life.
