1991 Infiniti M30

The first generation of the Infiniti M was produced from 1990 through 1992 and was known as the M30. It was replaced by the Infiniti J30 sedan, after approximately 17,000 examples had been produced. The M30 was luxurious and comfortable, yet simplistic. Powering was from a 3.0-liter single overhead cam V6 engine backed by a four-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment included anti-lock brakes, a driver's airbag, Nissan Sonar Suspension II, leather upholstery, a 4-speaker Nissan-Bose audio system with a cassette player and an electric mast antenna, and an anti-theft security system with an engine immobilizer. Other standard amenities included power windows, power locks, power mirrors, a power moonroof, cruise control, and automatic climate control.

The two-door coupe body style was joined by a convertible for the 1991 model year. They began as coupes and were shipped to California and converted by American Sunroof Corporation (ASC). The electric canvas top was fully automatic with push-button operation. The convertible body style was exclusive to the United States market, and was never officially sold in Japan.
