1954 Frazer Custom

This vehicle began life as a 1947 Frazer and was given a one-off body built by Walter Omelenchuk in 1954 and finished in 1955. The body, except the modified hood, was all hand-formed galvanized steel. The taillights and bumpers were from a 1954 Ford, Pontiac trim graced the side, and the wraparound windshield was made of plexiglass. There were cut-down doors and a custom steering column and wheel.

Under the bonnet is a flathead straight-six, presumably the 226.2 cubic-inch engine powering the 1947 Frazers. Three single-throat carburetors were added by Omelenchuk with hand-made velocity stacks.

The car was used for many years before entering retirement, resting in a barn for many years. It was re-discovered in the late 1990s by Mike Barker. Around 2018, the car was acquired by Geoffrey Hacker of Undiscovered Classics Collections in Tampa, Florida. It was placed on displace at the Sarasota Classic Car Museum in Sarasota, Florida, and shown at the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance in 2021.
