1966 Alvis TF 21

The three-liter Alvis TF 21 was the fourth of the series which included the TC 108G of 1956 to 1958, the TD 21 of 1958 to 1963, and the TE of 1963 to 1966. The TC 108G employed a 2,993cc engine, first used in the 1950 TA21, which initially used twin SU carburetors and delivered 104 horsepower. The wheelbase measured 111.5 inches, had a length of 189 inches, and stood 62.5 inches tall. The TE series would hold true to its form throughout production, with gradual updates to the engine and minor updates to the styling.

The engine powering the TF 21 used triple SU carburetors and delivered 150 horsepower at 4,750 RPM. Transmission options included a five-speed gearbox made by ZF and an automatic. The suspension used coil springs at the front and leaf springs at the rear. Drum brakes had been used for most of the series, while the TF 21 relied on Dunlop discs at all four corners. The steering was via a recirculating ball-type setup with power assistance optional. Production of the bodies was courtesy of Park Ward.

Production of the Alvis TF 21 was brief and exclusive with just 106 examples built. This was the final model built by Alvis before it ceased production.
