Maxima features standard 3.5-liter V6 engine, rated at 300 horsepower and 261 lb-ft of torque, paired with an Xtronic transmission. Every Maxima features standard Nissan Safety Shield® 3601, which includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist and Rear Automatic Braking. Additional standard driver assistance technologies include Intelligent Cruise Control, Traffic Sign Recognition and Intelligent Driver Alertness. Class-exclusive Intelligent Around View® Monitor5 (standard on SR and Platinum) provides a 360-degree camera view around the car for assistance when parking6.

Maxima has strong visual presence with a sleek and sculpted shape. Blacked-out pillars give it a floating roof effect, while the deep V-motion front grille, deep front fascia and standard LED headlights and daytime running lights create an enticing first impression. Maxima SV wears standard 18-inch wheels, while SR has gloss black 19-inch wheels and Platinum has 19-inch machined-alloy wheels.Maxima's interior also packs a visual punch with sporty touches like a D-shaped, flat-bottom steering wheel, satin chrome trim and contrast stitching on the dashboard, doors, console, seats and steering wheel. Maxima SR and SV feature ambient interior lighting and a premium Ascot leather-wrapped steering wheel (with Alcantara insert on SR). Maxima SR's interior is further enhanced with a charcoal headliner and Satin Dark Chrome trim.
