- A coach-built supercar that blends vintage values and modern design.
- Design inspiration sourced from the Ferrari 330 P4, Porsche 917 and Peugeot 905.The SALAFF C2 was designed by Carlos Salaff and is a combination of vintage designs with modern architecture. Mr. Salaff was an intern at Mazda and BMW, a graduate from the Art Center College of Design in 2003, and an employee at Mazda's North American Design Studio. He helped design influential concept and production vehicles including the Nagare, Furai, Mazda 3 and MX-5. In 2013, he founded SALAFF and in 2018 the C2 was unveiled. The C2 is the second model - the first being a three-seater C1 with a central driving position. The 'Concept Lawn' at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in 2018 was the location selected for the unveiling of the first SALAFF concept. The C2 is the first SALAFF model to go into commissioned production.
Focusing on quality and artistry, the C2 is clothed in carbon fiber and the interior receives robust toggle switches, machined aluminum details, carbon fiber and durable leathers. Lamborghini Gallardo
If the specifications of the Lamborghini Gallardo are preserved, then the SALAFF C2 has a 100.8-inch wheelbase, a length of 169.3 inches, a width of 74.8 inches, and a height of 45.9 inches. During its decade-long production lifespan, numerous versions were produced, including the Gallardo 5.0, LP 560-4 & LP 570-4. As such, the DOHC V10 engine with four valves per cylinder displaced either 5.0 liter (4,961cc) or 5.2 liter (5,204cc). The 5.0-liter version produced 513 horsepower and the 5.2-liter had 552 horsepower. The Superleggera version produced 523 horsepower (5.0 liter), and the 5.2-liter variant delivered 562 horsepower. The transmission was either a conventional (H-pattern) six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed electro-hydraulically actuated single-clutch automated manual transmission (dubbed 'E-Gear'). (The Superleggera used a six-speed Graziano manual (standard on US spec models) or a six-speed e-gear Graziano automated manual (a no-cost option).) SALAFF C2
The bodywork of the C2 was formed from either hand-beaten aluminum or carbon fiber, depending on customer requirements. If the donor car had an E-Gear setup, Salaff could convert it into a manual if so desired. Styling elements include a large wide front grille, fender-integrated headlights, a V-shaped hood, numerous air intakes and outlets, unique black wheels, slim side mirrors, honeycomb-like engine cover design, gold accents, and a long tail. The bespoke interior is a combination of comfort and useability with carbon fiber pieces, durable leather, and toggle switches.Intended for the passionate driver and art collector, the C2 blends vintage values with modern design motifs, and each example is built upon commission.
