January 24, 2017 by HondaJan 23, 2017 - TORRANCE, Calif. Good Housekeeping has announced the winners of their Best New Car Awards for 2017, and the 2017 Honda Accord Sport was named as the Best Sedan. The winners appear in the February issue, on newsstands now. The Good Housekeeping Institute worked with Car and Driver, the leading authority on all things automotive, to screen more than 100 new vehicles, narrowing it down to the top 25 for further scrutiny. After driving over 1,200 miles on test tracks and open roads, engineers from the GHI Labs and consumer testers rated cars on value, safety, smoothness, handling, interior design and comfort and onboard technology. The Accord Sport was named the Best Sedan due to its roomy interior, superior gas mileage and perfectly placed steering wheel buttons. In addition, Good Housekeeping cited the availability of the Honda Sensing™ suite of driver assist technologies, including Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS™) and Lane Keeping Assist (LKAS).
