1965 Volvo 1800S Sport Coupe

This Volvo P1800S Coupe was sold new to its original owner, Fumiko Carlson, in California. During its lifespan, it would have just five owners. The 3rd owner acquired it in 1988 and had the B18 engine fully rebuilt. The 4th owner commissioned a professional restoration to as-delivered condition. In 1995, a 4-year rotisserie restoration was commenced. The exterior was refinished in the original shade of Pearl White. The interior has the original blue-faced gauges and an original radio delete plate on the dash. There are fully adjustable seats and Recaro chrome-plated seat recliners and headrests. During the restoration, the dealer-installed air conditioning was removed, but the thermostatically controlled electric cooling fan was left in place. The chassis has been updated with Bilstein shocks, ipd sway bars, 30mm lowering springs, and Panasport wheels.

The current owner has cared for the car since 2016.

The engine is a 1,782cc overhead-valve four-cylinder unit with 2 SU carburetors and backed by a four-speed manual transmission with electric overdrive. In the front are disc brakes with drums at the rear.
